Athlete of the Week
Payton Coon - Oregon
Coon, a senior top, tumbler and base from Portland, Ore., earned athlete of the week honors for the second time this season after leading the Ducks to a win over nationally-ranked Azusa Pacific last week. Coon competed in 12 total heats and was a key contributor in team event for the Ducks during the meet. She helped Oregon to 10 scores of 9.50 or higher, including a meet-high 9.85 in the six-element individual tumbling pass. She also helped UO record a 9.85 in compulsory pyramid, a 9.80 in compulsory toss, and a trio of pyramid scores higher than 9.65. Oregon also scored a 99.00 out of 107.05 in team event and finished the meet with a 281.300 team score.
Specialist of the Week
Marissa Cottrill - West Liberty Cottrill, a sophomore from St. Marys, W.Va., was named the week four specialist of the week after helping West Liberty record a perfect 10.0 in the open pyramid heat last week during its win over Glenville State. Cottrill competes as a top and performs a straddle hold during the open heat. The 10.0 is the first in program history for WLU.
Freshman of the Week
Nicolette Tianga - Quinnipiac
Tianga, a base from Deer Park, N.Y., competed in eight heats and team event for the Bobcats during a victory over Davis & Elkins last week. She helped QU to five scores of 9.50 or higher, including a meet-high 9.85 in the inversion pyramid, and a 9.75 in the open pyramid. She also helped the Bobcats to a 9.70 in the compulsory pyramid and toss heats.

Athlete of the Week
Kenzie Kyle - West Liberty
A returning All-MEC junior base from Parsons, W.Va., Kyle was selected after playing a key role in two school record events – including the first perfect "10" in Hilltopper A&T history – to help lead the Black and Gold to victory against Glenville State inside the ASRC. After opening the match as a base in all three Compulsory heats, she served as a main base in the 6-Element Acro heat which scored a 9.7. That was West Liberty's highest score ever in any Acro heat but the best was yet to come. Also utilized as a mid in Heats 2 and 3 of the Pyramid event which followed, Kyle based the straddle hold in Pyramid Heat 3 which was rewarded by the judges with the first perfect 10 in school history.
