Anton Stephenson - Nebraska
Earned four event titles to help the Huskers top No. 3 Michigan last weekend
Finished first on floor (14.400), on vault (15.050), on parallel bars (14.750) and in the all-around (84.400)
His scores on vault and parallel bars contributed to the Huskers’ season high scores on those rotations
Added a second-place finish on pommel horse (13.650) and fifth-place finish on bar (13.050)
Collects his first Big Ten Gymnast of the Week of the season and his first since Feb. 27, 2017

Freshman of the Week
David Pochinka - Minnesota
Recorded podium finishes on all three of his events last weekend to help Minnesota earn a share the Big Ten regular season crown
Won parallel bars title with a career-high 14.500
Also set career highs with his second-place finish on bar (13.700) and third-place finish on pommel horse (13.750)
Earns second first Big Ten Freshman of the Week award

Gymnast of the Week
Sam Montague – Illinois-Chicago
Montague set four career-highs last weekend helping the Flames to a season-best score against Cal and defending national champions Oklahoma. He started off the competition with his first career high on the pommel horse scoring an 11.9. In the very next rotation on rings Montague would set his second career-high of the day with a 12.4. He set his third career-high on the parallel bars with his highest mark of the day a 12.8. He also had a score of 12.55 on the high bar. This all added up to Montague’s final career-high of the day in the all-around competition with a 76.9. That score was also good enough for a third place finish in the meet.

Rookie of the Week
Kaleb Booth – Illinois-Chicago
Booth had UIC’s highest scores in both of his events. His floor routine scored a 13.95, a season-high by a quarter of a point. The score placed him in sixth place for the event. On vault Booth would notch a 14.15 which put him in eighth.

Gymnast of the Week
Darren Wong - California
Wong (Vancouver, BC, Canada) posted the all-around title (81.700), and matched his career-bests on vault (14.300) and floor (14.550) in a home tri-meet with No. 1 Oklahoma and No. 18 Illinois-Chicago (Mar. 23). He outscored three Sooners’ to finish as the runner-up on floor, and pulled in a team-best and career-high on the parallel bars with a 13.700--a two-tenths improvement from his previous high. Wong ranks third in the nation in the all-around. This is the second MPSF weekly award for Wong (Feb. 12).
