Gymnast of the Week
Yul Moldauer - Oklahoma
Oklahoma sophomore Yul Moldauer (Arvada, CO) scored 87.600 to win the all-around crown as the Sooners won a tri-meet against No. 5 Minnesota and No. 11 Iowa in Iowa City (Feb. 10). Moldauer took the event titles on floor (14.850), rings (15.100) and parallel bars (tying his own NCAA season-high 15.500), before closing his meet with a 14.900 on vault and a 14.200 on high bar. This is Moldauer’s second career MPSF weekly award, also earning it two weeks ago (Jan. 31).

Gymnast of the Week
Sean Melton - Ohio State
*Posted the highest floor score (15.050) in the nation to take first in the event in Ohio State’s dual meet victory over Penn State
*Finished at the top of the podium on still rings (14.750), finished second on pommel horse (14.700) and took fourth place on high bar (13.650)
*The Academic All-Big Ten honoree’s score on floor (15.050) ranks fifth in Ohio State’s program history
*Collects his seventh Big Ten Gymnast of the Week award

Freshman of the Week
Sam Zakutney - Penn State
*Collected six top-10 finishes in Penn State’s dual meet against Ohio State
*Finished at the top of the podium in the all-around (83.150) and on parallel bars (14.750)
*Took second on high bar (14.300), sixth on floor (13.800), eighth on vault (13.900), 10th on still rings (13.300) and 11th on pommel horse (13.100) to complete his all-around score
*Earns his second Freshman of the Week award


ECAC/EIGL

Gymnast of the Week
Rob Meyer – William & Mary
Meyer scored on all three of his events last weekend, winning both the rings (13.8) and the parallel bars (13.9). He also placed second on the pommel horse with a mark of 13.25, helping the Tribe earn the win over the University of Illinois - Chicago

Specialist of the Week
Chris Root – Illinois
Root posted a trio of second-place finishes for the Flames in their loss to William & Mary on Saturday. The senior scored 13.15 on the high bar, 13.5 on the parallel bars and a 13.6 on rings.

Rookie of the Week
Tim O’Neill – William & Mary
O’Neill won the vault with a career-best 14.25 in the Tribe’s win over the UIC Flames, and also scored 13.8 on the floor exercise to finish second, with both of those scores representing the highest by a W&M gymnast this season. His vault score also places him sixth in the program’s all-time recordbooks for the event.
