Christopher Stephenson - Nebraska
* Claimed six top-10 finishes, including two individual event titles, in Nebraska’s dual meet against No. 1 Oklahoma
* Finished at the top of the podium in the all-around (82.95) and on floor (14.300), took second on parallel bars (14.250) and finished fourth on vault (14.450)
* The Academic All-Big Ten honoree ranks 10th nationally in the all-around, averaging 81.775 through two meets
* Collects his first Big Ten Gymnast of the Week award

* Claimed the event title on floor (14.000) and finished third on pommel horse (13.700)
* Collects his first Big Ten Gymnast of the Week award

Freshman of the Week
Favian Valdez - Penn State
* Collected three top-five finishes in Penn State’s victory over Army
* Earned his second title of the season with a score of 14.050 on pommel horse, earning a No. 9 national ranking in the event
* Registered a third-place mark in the all-around (79.800) and tied for fourth on vault (14.050)
* Earns his second Freshman of the Week award
* Last Penn State Freshman of the Week: Favian Valdez (Jan. 16, 2017)

Gymnast of the Week
Tanner West – Navy
West finished first in the all-around competition at last week’s Navy Open, totaling a 79.9. Competing in his second collegiate meet and first as an all-arounder, West also took top spot on the rings with a score of 13.75, and recorded top-six finishes in high bar (13.25, 2nd), parallel bars (13.6, 4th) and vault (13.8, 6th).

Specialist of the Week
Jacopo Gliozzi – William & Mary
Gliozzi turned in a clutch performance on the pommel horse for the Tribe at last week’s Navy Open. After the previous two competitors fell, the sophomore garnered a 14.3 mark to help William & Mary secure second place ahead of Springfield College.

Rookie of the Week
Stephen Lewis – Springfield
Lewis tied for second in the all-around at the Navy Open. The freshman posted a 14.150 on vault to capture first place in the event, and also finished third in the floor exercise with a 13.500.

Gymnast of the Week
Akash Modi - Stanford
Stanford senior Akash Modi (Morganville, NJ) led the No. 2 Cardinal to a second-straight sweep in both individual and team events against No. 8 California and No. 19 Washington. (Jan. 21). Modi won titles on floor (2017 NCAA-high 15.000), pommel horse (14.800), parallel bars (14.900), and all-around (88.150), along with second-place outcomes on still rings (14.750), vault (14.650), and high bar (14.050; tie with Robert Neff). This is Modi’s 11th career MPSF weekly award.
