Gymnast of the Week
Allan Bower - Oklahoma
Bower posted an all-around score of 88.750, the highest in the nation, and won two events titles in helping lead the Sooners to their 18th consecutive Rocky Mountain Open title over the weekend. The Chandler, Ariz., native started his meet with back-to-back scores of 15.350 on pommel horse and rings, taking the event title on both events. He backed up those eye-popping numbers with a 14.850 on vault in the third rotation and a 15.000 on parallel bars. He rounded out his meet with a 13.900 on high bar and a 14.300 on floor.

Big Ten Conference

Gymnast of the Week
Jake Martin - Ohio State
* Posted the fifth highest all-around score (83.400) in the nation to take first in the event at the Windy City Invitational
* Took third place in the high bar (14.250), pommel horse (13.800) and floor (14.300)
* The two-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree registered scores of 13.450, 14.150, and 13.450 in the rings, vault, and parallel bars, respectively, to complete his winning all-around score (83.400)
* Collects his third Big Ten Gymnast of the Week award

Freshman of the Week
Favian Valdez - Penn State
* Collected three top-five finishes to give Penn State its fourth straight West Point Open team title
* Registered a trio of second-place results on the floor (14.300), pommel horse (14.250) and in the all-around (82.400)
* Ranks seventh in the country and second in the conference in the all-around, posting a total score of 82.400
* Earns his first Freshman of the Week award

Gymnast of the Week
Nathan Goff – Army
Goff helped Army to a third-place finish at the 2017 West Point Open. He finished second in the high bar event finals with a score of 14.5, and also finished in third place on parallel bars (13.65). Additionally, Goff placed sixth in the All-Around with a score of 80.25.

Specialist of the Week
Ryan Wilson – Army
Competing at the 2017 West Point Open, Wilson posted a score of 14.2 in the vault and 13.7 on rings to notch top-10 finishes in both events.

Rookie of the Week
Tomas Palma – William & Mary
Palma won two events at the Virginia State Open, capturing the event title in the floor exercise (13.15) and tying for top honors on vault (14.0) in his first collegiate competition.
