Jamie is the son of David, a martial arts instructor at Universal Studios, and Jama, a regional account manager for Clarins. He has one sister, Ilea, and one brother, David, who also competed for the University of Oklahoma and now trains at the U.S. Olympic Training Center. Jamie is a three-time All-American on still rings at Oklahoma, where he graduated in 2006 with a major in studio art and a minor in art history. He hopes to become a successful artist.
